Dr. Sanjay Dubey, Head of the Institute of Computer Application (ICA) at SAGE University, Indore, shares a deeply introspective message on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

He begins by expressing that the truest Guru resides within each of us—our inner soul is our ultimate guide, the divine source of wisdom. He believes that anyone can become a yogi or a truly elevated human being if they learn to connect deeply with their inner self.

In physical form, he explains, Gurus appear around us as parents, teachers, siblings, relatives, friends—even neighbours. But recognizing who truly guides us in the right direction depends on our inner awareness and discernment. One’s self-understanding helps determine which influence is constructive and which is not.

Dr. Dubey emphasizes that knowledge from a Guru can be positive or negative, but it is our inner conscience—nurtured by family values, societal understanding, and cultural upbringing—that helps us absorb what is right.

He adds that no Guru is ever entirely negative. Every Guru, in some way, imparts a lesson. The role of the individual is to listen to the voice of their soul and use that wisdom to contribute meaningfully—to their family, their society, and their nation.

As a teacher himself, he humbly states that perfection is not a claim, but effort is ongoing. Teachers too strive every day to grow and guide with sincerity. On this Guru Purnima, he bows with reverence to his own Gurus, and extends warm wishes to all—students, teachers, mentors, and lifelong learners.
