Dr. Gunjan Jadon, Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Pacific College of Pharmacy, Udaipur, extends her heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Dussehra.

She shares that Dussehra, or Vijayadashami, is celebrated to honor the victory of Lord Ram over Ravan. According to her, Ravan was not a demon by appearance, but a symbol of arrogance, greed, and jealousy. Lord Ram, with his courage and righteousness, not only defeated him but also destroyed these negative qualities.

Dr. Jadon emphasizes that while we burn effigies of Ravan every year, the true essence of Dussehra lies in overcoming our inner evils—such as arrogance, jealousy, and misbehavior—and moving ahead with truth, courage, and positivity. She wishes that this festival inspires everyone to embrace righteousness in life.
